Exams have restricted to me to limited posts in the last few weeks. Now I’m finished, there is no excuse for irregular posts. And here is the first of (hopefully) many. It’s currently 4am so it’s time for some lovely late night music.

This is a session that my brother told me to check out several months ago, but it’s taken me this long to actually do so. Now I have, I wish I had done it sooner. It’s easily the best session I can ever remember hearing. The inclusion of ‘I Can’t Make You Love Me’, the extraordinary Bonnie Raitt cover, is the cherry on top of the already delicious cake and is certainly the reason for the popularity of the session.

I hope this session keeps you busy as I look for more music to bring you. I am hoping to review every worthwhile album released from now until the end of the year.

Watch this space.

Listen to when: You’re Happy

Genre: Motown/Funk

A classic to start off the blog, a catchy tune which isn’t exactly complicated when it comes to lyrics but hardly needs to be with the crazy guitar that goes on throughout it. Truly a song which can lift you up and make your day feel like a constant climax. Enjoy.
